Your route is empty. You can plan your journey by searching for the cities or spots you want to explore.

On the first day of the Lakes District tour, you will be enchanted by the unique purple hue of Isparta's endless lavender gardens. Then, continue to explore the city’s natural beauty with a view of Lake Eğirdir.

In the morning, visit the Kuyucak Village, which is renowned for its lavender gardens, known as “The Land of Lavender”. The unique purple colour and the impressive scents of the lavender fields stretching as far as the eye can see will fascinate you.

Immortalise your memories by taking photos of the natural landscape of the village. Then, visit the village to buy handmade lavender products made by local people and rest in the cosy local cafés at midday.

You can reach Eğirdir within an hour’s drive by car. Set on the shores of Lake Eğirdir, one of the largest lakes in Isparta’s Lakes District, this charming cittaslow is home to two small islands: Can Island and Green Island.

Walking around the lake and photographing the unique view of this natural beauty is an unforgettable experience. The islands host historical sites such as Eğirdir Castle and Dündarbey Madrasa for cultural discovery.

At the end of the day, sample some local specialities at one of the elegant lakeside restaurants on the islands. You can try Yalvaç güveci, a meat dish unique to Isparta, or sweet treats made from rose, such as Turkish delight or sherbet.

The Lakes District tour will continue to Kovada Lake, Sagalassos Archaeological Site, and Lake Salda. Kovada Lake National Park will be the first destination on the second day.

The lake, which is protected in a national park, is a great photography area with its scenery and biodiversity. Coming to the park at the first light of the morning will help you explore this region in more detail and see all its natural beauties.

On the shore of the lake, you can birdwatch and take photographs of various bird species. At sunrise, the lake reveals its most beautiful reflections, enhanced by the soft morning light. After a nature walk or, if you wish, a bicycle tour around the lake, have a picnic in a suitable place and relax for the other two destinations.

Afterwards, hit the road to the Sagalassos Archaeological Site, which is about 1 hour away. This well-preserved site is especially worth seeing, with its famous Antonine Fountain, large theatre, and agora.

After taking a history break here, you can go to the renowned Lake Salda. This is one of the most beautiful lakes in the country, with a white, fine sandy beach surrounding the turquoise-blue water.

Taking photos of the natural beauty and unique colours of Lake Salda is one of the most enjoyable activities for nature photographers. Then, you can swim on the shore of the lake and enjoy swimming in this clear and light blue water.
