Day 1: Cunda Island

Cunda Island, also known as Alibey Island, is seamlessly linked to the picturesque town of Ayvalık by a causeway, creating a natural extension of its enchanting beauty. Cunda captivates with its rich cultural tapestry, stunning historical architecture, and a lively art scene that enchants every visitor. The vibrant history of Cunda is vividly displayed in its streets, transforming the town into an open-air gallery of neo-classical architecture. Among its notable landmarks is the Taksiyarhis Church, a stunning structure dating back to the 19th century. Taksiyarhis Church has been beautifully restored and now stands as a museum, highlighting its intricate mosaic of industrial heritage and maritime artefacts. Another remarkable destination is Agios Yannis Church, which has been beautifully restored and transformed into a library, providing stunning panoramic views of the island and Ayvalık. The island proudly features a collection of stone windmills on the hills of Cunda, and you can experience the most amazing view of the sky on these hills. Cunda perfectly captures the essence of Turkaegean style through its rich historical and architectural landmarks. While you are here, taste the most beautiful Turkaegean mezes, and enjoy the summery flavours of Cunda.

Day 3: Gümüşlük

Gümüşlük, a charming gem in Bodrum, is a paradise for handcrafted treasures and exquisite jewellery. The name also hints at “items crafted from silver.” The legacy of craftsmanship in Gümüşlük traces its roots to ancient times, when Myndos thrived as a prominent port city within the Carian civilisation. In Gümüşlük, pottery, metalwork, and textile weaving stood as vital industries, shaped by a rich tapestry of influences from diverse cultures, notably the Roman and Eastern Roman traditions. The region's ancient silver mining established the groundwork for its celebrated metalwork tradition. Today, we see in the everyday life of Gümüşlük that these traditions are alive and well. Gümüşlük showcases one of the most vibrant and diverse sets of handicraft and jewellery shops in Türkiye. Gümüşlük embodies the luxury of the Aegean coast, showcasing an elegant and graceful allure.
