On the first day, you will explore the Turkish hamam tradition by visiting two historic bathhouses that now serve as museums: the II. Bayezid Turkish Hamam Culture Museum and the Zeyrek Tiled Hamam. These former hamams, now functioning as museums, also host artistic and cultural events.

Visit the II. Bayezid Turkish Hamam Culture Museum. Once a functioning hamam dating back to the early 16th century, it has been converted into a museum that showcases Ottoman bath architecture and traditions.

After your hamam experience, warm up with a hearty bowl of traditional Turkish soup at one of the best local spots known for showcasing the region’s rich soup culture.

Then, visit the Zeyrek Tiled Hamam, a stunning 16th-century bathhouse designed by the renowned Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan. This historical complex features elegant Iznik tile details and blends archaeological remains with immersive digital displays.

After exploring museums, enjoy shopping at the nearby Spice Bazaar and Tahtakale, where you can find traditional Turkish souvenirs such as spices, teas, and handcrafted items. For dinner, savour delicious Turkish kebaps and mezes at one of Fatih’s authentic restaurants.

Take a short ride to Pierre Loti Hill to unwind with a cup of Turkish tea or coffee while soaking in the breathtaking sunset and shimmering city lights over the Golden Horn.

Start your second day in Karaköy with a traditional Turkish breakfast featuring a colourful spread of fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, local cheeses, honey, and warm, crusty bread. You can taste the famous börek filled with minced meat or cheese, alongside a glass of delicious Turkish tea.

You can spend your afternoon exploring the Grand Bazaar, where you can shop for souvenirs for yourself and your loved ones. Enhance your meals with the rich, aromatic flavours of Turkish spices, or bring a piece of Turkish culture home with handwoven carpets and beautiful tiles.

Next, visit the historic Galatasaray Hamam, where you start in a warm steam room to open your pores and relax. A professional attendant performs an exfoliating scrub to refresh your skin, followed by a soothing foam massage to ease tension. The ritual ends with a final rinse and time to rest in a peaceful setting. It’s a unique way to rejuvenate body and mind while experiencing Istanbul’s centuries-old tradition.

For dinner, try the döner, a staple of Turkish cuisine with deep-rooted tradition. Finish your İstanbul hamam route on a sweet note by indulging in some delicious baklava.
