The first destination on this route is Kaş, a well-known district of Antalya. With Kaputaş, Kalkan, and Patara beaches nearby, it’s a summer dream on the Turkish Riviera. On the first day, pair ancient ruins with a beach break, with history all around.

Then, you can visit Xanthos, which was the capital of ancient Lycia and the first place to experience the atmosphere of ancient times on the Mediterranean coast. The site, on the UNESCO World Heritage List, has the Grand Theatre and Lycian Rock Tombs.

Except for Xanthos, visit Patara to see the symbolic and historically significant architectural structures, such as the Patara Theatre, the Triumphal Arch, and the Lycian Tombs. Take photographs of these historic wonders and wander through the remnants to discover traces of ancient times. Moreover, stop by the Bouleuterion, one of Patara's historical and architectural treasures. This magnificent structure stands out as the place where the first democratic council convened.

After visiting Patara, the best option is camping or staying in a comfortable boutique hotel next to Patara Beach. The beach is like heaven for sun-seekers with its golden sands and turquoise waters. Camp on the seashore, allow your body to be steeped in the sunlight and swim in the cool waters of the Mediterranean.

If you come here between May and September, you can witness the nesting and hatching season of Caretta caretta. This day, filled with history and nature, will be a perfect beginning for discovering the Turkish Riviera.

Kaş is mainly known for its suitability for diving and scuba diving due to the mild sea flows, clear water and protected marine areas. On the second day, explore the unique diving destinations of Kaş along with the diverse submarine life and ancient civilisation.

Kaş offers a variety of diving sites for both amateur and professional divers, providing you with the most enjoyable experience. Dive and explore the vibrant marine life of the area at the bottom of the sea.

Afterwards, visit the ancient city of Antiphellos, home to the iconic Lion’s Tomb. This ancient Lycian city is renowned for its well-preserved remnants and significant architectural structures. Lycian rock-cut tombs, such as the famous Lion’s Tomb, and an ancient theatre are important cultural heritage sites on this site.

You can find other popular destinations suitable for diving in Kekova Island, which offers the most authentic diving experience for water sports enthusiasts. The region provides numerous opportunities for taking diving lessons and renting equipment.

Although swimming is prohibited here, you can explore the remnants of the sunken city, including ancient walls, streets, and buildings, on a boat tour after diving. Camping on the shores of Kekova Island is the perfect way to end the day.

The last day of discovering the beaches of the Turkish Riviera is for nature and nature photography enthusiasts. Spend the final day trekking along the famous Karaöz-Adrasan track of the Lycian Way. You can drive the two-hour distance between Kekova Island and the trail’s starting point.

Karaöz-Adrasan track of the Lycian Way is one of the best locations for trekking with its stunning sea and forest views along the route. The trail takes an average of 7 hours to complete.

Depending on your preferences, you can determine the length of your trek or decide whether you want to walk the entire track. The trekking experience in the ancient and nature-embedded Lycian Way will remain in your mind as an unforgettable memory and adventure.

End the day and the Turkish Riviera route with camping in the enchanted Olympos Beach. You can also stay in cosy and comfortable boutique hotels next to the beach. After the exhausting and long trek, rest in the serene waters and golden sands of this peaceful heaven.
