Day 1: İzmir – Karaburun

Your caravan trip begins in İzmir, an iconic city on Türkiye’s Aegean coast. On the first day of the route, you’ll explore Karaburun, a charming coastal town. The town welcomes you with its unspoilt nature and unique Turkaegean culture. Before setting off to explore the surroundings, park your caravan at Sweet Caravan Camping, a well-equipped and peaceful site that serves as an ideal base.

Cycling is a great way to take in the area, especially along the Küçükbahçe–Karaburun route, where the ride is genuinely enjoyable. Before, you can make breakfast with fresh local olives, cheese, and warm bread from the village bakery. Throughout the day, you can hike along scenic coastal trails, swim in hidden coves, and visit nearby fishing villages. Afterwards, return to the campsite to rest for the next day.

Day 2: Çeşme – Alaçatı – Urla

Hit the road to the Çeşme-Alaçatı area to explore its wild, tranquil camping spots near the coves. A popular destination is Delikli Cove with its unique rock formations and crystal-clear waters. In the morning, swimming in its cool waters and sunbathing on the fine sands will refresh your body and mind.

Towards noon, move towards the centre of Alaçatı for browsing charming little boutiques filled with handmade goods. Afterwards, you can learn windsurfing and kitesurfing, which this area is internationally known for, or simply take a walk through Alaçatı’s charming streets.

Then, drive to Urla to enjoy the unique harmony of Aegean cuisine and famous fine-dining restaurants. In Urla, you can meet artisan bakeries, boutique vineyards, and weekly farmers’ markets brimming with local produce. To spend the night, Demircili Beach is a popular seaside destination. You can park in the camping area surrounded by olive trees or opt for a more comfortable stay in private camping areas.

Day 3: Seferihisar – Sığacık

On the third day, you will discover the slow-paced lifestyle of a Cittaslow and the unique Turkaegean culture. Set off early in the morning to discover Seferihisar in its calmest state. It is the first town in Türkiye to join the Cittaslow movement and one of the places where you can truly experience local life and culture. First, settle your caravan at the Reach Beach Camping site.

Now, you are ready to start exploring the historic streets and regional market of Sığacık, especially on Sundays when the famous organic bazaar brings the whole town to life. Take a refreshing sea break by swimming in the clear, calm waters of the beaches here. The nearby Teos Ancient City provides the chance to admire the ruins and take stunning photographs. After enjoying cycling in the cool evening air of Seferihisar, return to the campsite for dinner and rest.

Day 4: Kuşadası – Güzelçamlı

On the following day of the caravan route, you will wander through two unique destinations where you can admire the natural beauties of the Aegean. In the early hours of the morning, drive your caravan from Demircili Beach to Ladies Beach in Kuşadası. Here, you can both relax and enjoy a nice breakfast with a unique view of the beach.

After enjoying the clean waters and calmness of Ladies Beach, explore the town centre of Kuşadası for a cultural discovery. If you’re searching for special gifts for your loved ones, the bazaar is full of local crafts, spices, and textiles. To explore one of the most historic buildings in the area, you can visit the Caravanserai of Öküz Mehmed Pasha, a restored Ottoman inn.

Towards evening, take a sunset walk to Pigeon Island, where a small castle offers panoramic views of the coast. You should taste Aegean mezes and olive oil dishes in one of the local restaurants in the town. Since you'll be heading to Dilek Peninsula the next day, drive your van to Güzelçamlı, which lies between Kuşadası and the national park, and spend the night at one of the campsites there.

Day 5: Dilek Peninsula – Didim

In the morning, you can leave Güzelçamlı and head to Dilek Peninsula, arriving at a stunning spot for nature exploration. Since the park is closed in the evenings, it’s not suitable for overnight camping. However, during its opening hours, you're allowed to drive into the park with your caravan. Then see Zeus Cave, a mystical spot near the entrance known for its cool air and legendary atmosphere.

Then, enjoy a nature walk along the trails between Kavaklıburun and Karasu coves, where you can also take stunning nature photographs. Once you've explored the park’s unique natural beauty until closing time, you can set off towards Didim town centre. In the evening, rest in one of the cosy cafes or restaurants. Dine on fresh seafood at a local tavern and listen to live music. For the rest of the evening, take a walk to discover Didim’s lively streets, browse local shops and markets.

Day 6: Didim – Gümüşlük

On the last day of the caravan route, you’ll explore the historical and coastal wonders of Didim along with Gümüşlük’s serene ambience. In the morning, drive your van to Didim to explore its fascinating ancient sites, starting with the magnificent Temple of Apollo and perhaps stopping by the ruins scattered around the town. Then, head towards beautiful Altınkum Beach, where you can swim before catching another Aegean sunset to end the day.

After wandering through Didim’s coast, hit the road to Gümüşlük, where the spirit, culture, and lands of the Aegean and Mediterranean regions are connected. After parking your caravan at the Dereköy Camping site to stay the night, you can spend the evening exploring the boutiques and streets of Gümüşlük. You can have a drink in one of the cosy places and relax to relieve the tiredness of the caravan journey.
