Day 1
Begin your day by eating Beyran soup, a rich and spicy dish made with slow-cooked lamb, rice, garlic, and chilli oil, which is traditionally eaten for breakfast in Gaziantep. Like Turkish hospitality, this soup warms you from the inside out.
Then, visit Gaziantep Castle, which has stood as a symbol of the city’s enduring strength for 2,000 years. You can take photographs or simply walk along its walls to feel the nostalgic ambience of this historic fortress.
For lunch, you can try lahmacun, a unique and delicious staple of Turkish cuisine. Afterwards, enjoy a peaceful afternoon by sipping Turkish coffee served with lokum at one of the famous coffeehouses in the bazaar.

Day 2
On the second day, you will continue to explore the spicy Gaziantep delicacies and rich history adorned with colourful mosaics.
Start your day with a traditional Turkish breakfast to gather energy for the rest of the day. After breakfast, you can visit the Gaziantep Zeugma Mosaic Museum, one of the world’s largest mosaic museums in the world. The museum showcases stunningly preserved artefacts from the Zeugma Archaeological Site.
For a light mid-day meal, try a small portion of Yuvalama soup, the city’s famous traditional soup made with tiny bulgur balls, chickpeas, and a yoghurt base. Before heading out, you can spend some time in the Almacı Bazaar to look for local delicacies or buy famous ingredients, such as pistachios, spices, or dried peppers.
Then, visit the Emine Göğüş Gastronomy Museum to discover Gaziantep’s rich culinary heritage, celebrated as a UNESCO City of Gastronomy. Explore exhibits showcasing traditional recipes and local ingredients.
For dinner, taste Gaziantep’s unique kebap types, such as fıstıklı kebap, a succulent meat kebap studded with the region’s famous pistachios, or cartlak kebap, a flavorful dish blending liver and spices, at a local eatery in the bustling old town.
